Cricket is a wonderful sport for children to develop their hand-eye co-ordination, learn
important life skills and make lasting friendships.
Penn and Tylers Green Cricket Club runs a vibrant and inclusive junior section with children being provided with the opportunity to learn the game, maximize their potential and be part of a team. On Friday evening, our enthusiastic volunteer coaches create a fun environment for players to practise and parents can savour an evening drink and BBQ in the best beer garden in the village.
We cater for boys and girls from Year 1 upwards with age-group competition starting at Under 9s. We enter sides into local Bucks Cricket leagues across the age groups and take part in junior cricket festivals in the area. Outdoor practice sessions start shortly after Easter and continue through the early part of the school summer holidays.
Membership
If you sign your child up as a member, you will receive –
• Access to a minimum of 12 practice sessions (1-2 hours depending on age)
• The opportunity to be selected to represent the club (our philosophy is to provide match experience for all children who are match-ready)
• Use of the club nets during the summer
• A complimentary club shirt
• Two adult social memberships per child included invitation to club events and discounted BBQ/drink on Friday evenings
• Access to winter training sessions (small supplementary charge to cover sports-hall hire) and discounts on summer cricket camps (if run)
Junior membership for the 2025 season is priced as follows –
• £150 – Years 6 and above
• £125 – Years 3, 4 and 5
• £100 – Years 1 and 2
Parents who are part of the junior management and coaching team receive a discount and are provided with club kit.
Registration and payment is required before 30 April or your child plays in a match, whichever is sooner.
Registration and payment will be available by the end of January 2025.
