PTGCC Colts Section
At Penn & Tylers Green Cricket Club we are extremely proud of our Colts development section.
One of the best things about the club over the past few decades has been the dedication to the junior colts and the commitment everyone at the club has put in.
2011 Colts Announcement
Coaching for this year will begin in the week beginning 2 May:
U13's on Thursdays from 6.30pm - 8pm and
U7's - U11's on Fridays from 5.30pm - 7pm
We have always had a thriving colts section that has progressed well through their age groups and leagues picking up many good results and trophies. A large percentage of the players in the 1st XI and 2nd XI were previously colts who have come through the set up and are now producing consistently good performances in the senior leagues.
Our colts section is now as big as ever and the healthy turnout we regularly have at our colt training sessions is envied by many clubs.
Our training sessions and colts teams are run by extremely friendly and helpful qualified coaches and also by parent helpers. We have a good selection of training equipment including cricket nets for coaching. We have junior sides in most age groups who all play regular matches, both friendlies and league fixtures.
Thursday evenings are our colts training sessions and these are age groups from U11 years up to and including the Under 13s. These practice evenings are held at the Club Ground from 6.30 to 8pm.
On Fridays evenings our youngest colts sessions are held for the U7 up to the younger U10’s. These sessions start at 5.30pm and finish at 7pm
Colts sessions are held during the summer term only although some age groups may do extra sessions during the summer holidays
Each year we have a spare Saturday when there are no league fixtures to fulfil. This usually occurs in July and so we have begun to organise a Festival for Colts on this day and matches and competitions are organized along with a BBQ for the watching parents and relatives.

Towards the end of the winter we also organise indoor net practice sessions at the RGS in High Wycombe in preparation for the season ahead for both senior players and older colts over the age of 13 years of age.
